Youth Ministry

All youth group activities are open to youth in 6-12th grade.

UMYF takes place following the Wednesday night meal from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Our youth group is a combination of middle school and high school students which allows for peer-mentorship. Our typical Wednesday night includes a time of sharing our YAY’S, NAY’S, AND YAHWEH’S (joys and concerns), having a devotion, and then spending time together building relationships through games or service activities.

We have one or two fun activities each month, in addition to our Wednesday night programming, which may include things such as lock-ins, Lake Day, going to the drive-in, playing Laser Tag, going to an Escape Game, etc. Time spent together in social interaction is very important at this age and time in their lives.

In the summer we take a break from our Wednesday night programming and do family fun nights. There is a different fun activity every week to get our youth spending time with their families and others from the church.

We have lots of fun while also learning important life lessons through studying scripture.

sUNDAY sCHOOL

On Sunday mornings, the youth group meets in the youth room from 10:00-10:45 a.m. We spend time studying God’s word through different short devotional series.

LakeSHore Camp & Retreat

Lakeshore is a camp and retreat center on the shores of the Tennessee River in Eva, Tennessee, providing Christian hospitality, rest and reflection for guests of all ages and background. The youth attend a fall retreat at Lakeshore each November. The youth enjoy learning about God in a different setting and inter-mingled with youth from all across our district.

Centershot

Centershot Ministries outreach program that shares the Gospel of Jesus using the life-skill of archery. We offer Centershot in the winter for a 6-8 week period from January to March. Certified trainers from our church help instruct the children and youth about the mechanics of archery and the application of the skill to our walk with Jesus.
