Dr. John Purdue

Dr. John Purdue is a native of Lexington KY, as his wife Rebecca. They met at Lafayette High School in Lexington. He has degrees from UK, the Southern Baptist Seminary, and Wesley Theological Seminary.

Rebecca, a retired music teacher, is also a pastor. She pastors at Oakland UMC and is also the choir director here at Calvert City UMC.

John and Rebecca have two adult children. Their son Richard lives in Nashville and is in the hotel/resort business. Their daughter Samantha and her husband Eric live in Loudon TN. She runs a plasma center in Knoxville and he is an executive chef with Aramark. They have two children, Oliver and Lydia.
